Franz Lanz Bluschke has made restoring and racing vintage sports cars his life's work. In 1980, Franz began repairing and restoring vintage Porsche cars in San Luis Obispo, and began competition in autocross, then time trials, and finally racing in 1995. With 95 races completed, he has 90 wins. Now, he extends his expertise to San Luis Obispo with a full service restoration facility, specializing in the air cooled 911. THE FOUNDER
I founded California Sportscars in 1980 to stretch my knowledge of vintage sportscars and apply my skills to repair, rebuild, and modify Posches.

My expertise lies in Porsche 911 streetcar engines, Porsche 911 racing engines, Porsche 911 racer builds, full restorations, and transmission overhaul and modification. While I've learned what it takes to restore a vehicle to its original glory, I also ensure each car is tailored to the owner's specific needs and preferences. Let's get it done!

THE HISTORY
From its inception, the Porsche brand name was one associated with luxury and racecars, a tradition that has stood the test of time over the ages. The founder, Ferdinand Porsche, began his own company in 1931, naming the company after himself when it was incorporated. After that, Porsche began producing vehicles that would go on to become legendary for their performance and quality.
